to the Fourth Annual
Junction Trail Festival! - History Did You Know? Andy Skurka is the first known hiker of the Sea to Sea Long Distance Hiking Route that connects existing long distance trails from the Atlantic to the Pacific Oceans. Andy came through Milford in November 2004 on his hike west. He first read about the route in Backpacker Magazine and later became Backpacker Magazine's 2005 Person of the Year. Andy continues to do amazing hikes. Skurka was the first inductee into the Trails of the Junction Hall of Fame at the First Junction Trail Festival in September 2006. |
